At Ice Systems we don’t just have the ice machines for you to buy, we’d also like to offer you some advice on how to get started.

One of our most successful ice sellers is Garankuwa Ice Distributors, we went to see them and find out just what they do that makes them so successful.

Mr. Bucks Motsepe owner of Garankuwa Ice Distributor had a few words of advice.

“you need to be patient, no business brings success over night, … You need to know what you want to do”

This excerpt pretty much sums up how Mr Motsepe conducts his business, he has a goal in mind and is willing to wait for success, this is his winning formula for Garankuwa Ice Distributors, he started out small expanding each and every year to what is now a buzzing hive of ice selling activity!

We started business with Bucks in 2005 when he bought 4 Scotsman MV1000 ice makers, he now has a very impressive, 7 MV1000s and an AC46. He is making about 3395kg of ice a day, which he stores in 4 cold rooms!

If you are thinking of selling ice this is what you will need.

• Ice Maker (Scotsman preferably ha ha ha!)
• Cold Room or a Storage unit
• Solid Marketing Campaign

Bucks also suggested 3 phase power but Ice Systems has machines that run on single phase power.
