Good mornig everyone!

I’ve been out of the office for almost two weeks now, I had cycle tests at university last week so took off some needed study time!

So now i’m back and I have a mountain of things to get through, I’ve just realized I will have to take more leave over the next month as I start exams in two weeks! It is never ending! (But i’m sure it will pay off in the end though:-))

I will try my best to drop by with the latest news and happenings in the Ice Systems camp as often as I can.

In the meantime check out our Facebook page and our regular Twitter Tweets,  as those are almost always updated – even during exam time!

Well thats about all the news I have right now! Hold thumbs for me for my final exams!

Hi Everyone,

I am extremely disappointed to report that the East Rand Business Initiative(EBI) has decided to cancel the 2009 Vaal Business Expo.

After weeks of toiling to get hold of EBI, I smelled a rat, weeks of trying to get information and help from EBI ended in unanswered e-mails and voice mail boxes to full to keep messages, perhaps cowardice is the word one could use to describe their business conduct.

Nevertheless, I spoke to EBI CEO, Chris van Biljon, today (24 April) and he informed me that the decision was made to cancel the vaal business expo last week and that he was going to notify all interested parties next week. We see this as simply unacceptable.

It is unfortunate and disheartening that the Vaal business expo has been canceled and that we were not informed, we have as a business lost a considerable amount of money on the Marketing apparel we have already ordered.

But what is perhaps the biggest loss of all is our faith in EBI as a well run and honest company, we had every intention in forging a solid business relationship with EBI and unfortunately this is no longer the case.

Thank you all who have supported both Ice System’s  Vaal business expo plans, and those who had every intention to attend the Vaal Business Expo, we are deeply sorry for this turn of events.

As promised I will keep you updated with the latest news from the Vaal Business Expo,

Ice Systems is hard at work organizing what will be the best Business Expo we’ve ever done, We are hoping to bring at least 2 Scotsman ice makers to the event to showcase Scotsman innovation and reliability. We plan to have the new Scotsman AC206 ice maker, which is the “ice shot glass” ice maker!

Ice Systems can’t wait to show off Scotsman ice makers to the Vaal Business Expo!

Ice Systems will be attending the 2009 Vaal Business Expo held at the Emerald Casino in Vanderbijlpark. We have booked through the East Rand Business Initiative (EBI) and are very excited about the entire event!

We are currently throwing ideas around for a fun and exciting exhibit, showcasing Scotsman product innovation and reliability but more importantly showing off Ice Systems’ passion for business and you the customer!

I will write a few more posts on the Expo as the event approaches, but for now keep the 16th and 17th of May open! RSS feed this blog or bookmark this page so that you can keep up to date with all the information!
