Ice maker installation requirements
Wednesday, March 18th, 2009If you plan to install an ice machine it is strongly recommended that you read what the ice maker installation requirements are before doing so. The list of ice maker installation requirements includes:
Water inlet valve must be in place. It should be a ¾” male thread and should include a shut-off valve.
Electricity supply must be within the applicable range.
Cool and well ventilated position for the ice machine.
Ground floor or level drain.
Location far enough from appliances which cause heat distribution such as stoves and tumble driers.
Dust free and heat free environment.
Indoor location for the ice maker.
The better the conditions for the ice maker installation, the better the operation of the machine will be. Dust build-up will cause regular maintenance problems and warmer locations will cost you money because more energy will be used to produce the ice.
