SCOTSMAN ice machines are manufactured in Italy and are 100% imported as are the majority of the spare parts used in the repair of the machines.

Ice Systems was founded in 1999 as a technical support function to Scotsman South Africa. Our success, we believe comes from the technical strength and financial might of the parent company and the hand's on management style of our team.We now employ 5 office staff and 10 workshop staff and have three technicians on the road in Gauteng daily. We cover the whole of South Africa through a dedicated team of professional self employed technicians. This dealer network extends our workshop capabilities to any city or town in the country.
The company has grown substantially from humble beginnings and we are now proud to invite customers to view our 300 square meter workshop facility, situated on the busy arterial Atlas Road in Boksburg.

We do not hold a recognized certificate at this time.We are currently discussing with our Italian partners ways in which to implement BEE into our daily business activities in Ice Systems whilst remaining within the operating parameters for subsidiary companies, as set out by our holding company Enodis.
BLACK SUPPLIER PROCUREMENT -90% or the majority of our product comes from Scotsman in Italy, but the remaining 10% is sourced locally.We have evaluated our suppliers and do where possible purchase from BEE companies.
EMPLOYMENT EQUITY
All positions within our company are open to all people regardless of race, colour, creed, historical background, gender or persuasion.Our only criteria is capability and qualification.We have policy of recruitment from within and many of our employees have successfully navigated into middle management and supervisory capacities.
SKILLS TRANSFER - We offer in house training on a bi-monthly basis to all employees on a technical basis. Ice Systems hosts a minimum of two training days per year open to all technical personnel from our customers and dealers, in order to widen the knowledge base of technical personnel.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - We believe in supporting our own workforce and their families and have during the past few years implemented a School Supplies Scheme and a library for our workers. We support Child Welfare and Boksburg Society for the Aged amongst other ad-hoc charities.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT - Refrigeration has undergone a radical make over in recent years, in order to minimize the impact of CFCs and unsafe refrigerants on our atmosphere.
Scotsman manufactures the product under strict quality assurance guidelines relating to banned or harmful substances.The units are manufactured for use in Italy and carry C.E.certification and the Scotsman brand has a certified ISO 9001:2000quality management system.
Our current range is manufactured and operates on R404 and R134a refrigerants.
