Please make note of the installation and warranty requirements for your purchase. Good installation is a pre-requisite for the optimum running of your equipment. Full installation instructions are included in the operation manual supplied inside the machine. Full installation and commissioning service is available for a nominal extra fee. Please ask your sales consultant.

Installation Requirements
Please note the the following on site services required within one metre of the machine:

	Water inlet valve 3/4" male thread with shut off valve.
	Ground / floor level Water Drain - 40mm
	Electricity Supply
	Please complete the checks on the start up registration form.

Warranty within South Africa:
Your SCOTSMAN ice maker is covered for 12 months from date of installation for replacement of faulty parts and or workmanship. Extended warranty available for further 12 months on replacement parts, if the machine is serviced in our workshops or by an approved local dealer at the end of the 12th month of operation.
With the exception of ICE FLAKERS which carry a six month labour cover only.
All transport and travelling costs are for the customer's account.

Warranty outside South Africa:
For Exported machines the warranty is limited to 12 months covering replacement of faulty parts only. We will request that the faulty part be returned to South Africa and upon receipt we will despatch the replacement.
Transport costs for the replacement part are for the customer's account.
If the machines are returned to our workshops labour will be supplied free of charge.
With the exception of ICE FLAKERS which carry a six month labour cover only.

Please register your ice machine with our service desk.

Servicing
Please remember the machine has moving parts and regular servicing of the equipment at least annually will ensure many years of trouble free use.

Servicing is not covered by warranty. Should your machine be dirty and in need of servicing the technician will advise you. Failure to service regularly may affect the validity of your icemakers.

Negligence and willful damage cannot be covered under warranty, nor can lightening strikes and power spikes.

WATER FILTERS
Please consider the purchase of a water filter to fit on the the incoming water line. The reduction of scale deposits in the watersystem will reduce maintenance costs and prolong the life of your icemaker.
